A gay man's nightmare is a ghost that won't go away.
Neil's long-awaited birthday trip to Amsterdam takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Anatoli, a Russian man with unusual eyes. Wherever Neil goes, to sex shops, cinemas, or book stores, he is haunted by Anatoli's presence. Eventually, with the help of a friend, Neil discovers why he is being targeted and takes drastic steps to rid himself of the threat that Anatoli poses.
Excerpt
Amsterdam was true to all the travel brochures, official and non-official, depending on what demographic you listened to and chose to believe. Even the most liberal guides failed to point out how the many young students and college boys tended to travel in packs. It was as if they were afraid to be separated from the herd for fear of not only their physical safety but their very souls as they pointed at the women in the windows, snickering among their friends. Neil suspected those were the very boys who snuck out on their own and really checked out what Amsterdam could offer them in the ways of overnight maturity.
Neil was eager to hit the streets even as he completed his regime of personal hygiene. Despite the many shopping opportunities, Neil took only as much money as he thought he would need to buy a beer and the occasional burger and continue on. This was not going to be a bring-back-a-little-souvenir-something-or-other-for everyone, type of trip.
It had to already be lunchtime he figured as the main street was full of people. It was October and the weather was balmy and spring like. He quickly noticed the herds of young men wearing their baggy pants down around their asses in the current wildly mistaken fashion statement, instead of dressing to highlight some pretty awesome butt cheeks.
Neil was celebrating his twenty-seventh birthday and this trip had been a much planned and saved for treat to himself. He wanted to see the major cites of the world before he was thirty. Neil had a cousin who worked for an airline. He naturally traveled quite a bit, but his ‘thing’ however was that wherever he journeyed, if he liked what he saw he simply settled down for a while. The result of course was living that rather fluid existence which cut down on broadening his world view and ultimately his experiences. Neil wasn’t going to let that happen to him. He intended to live life to its fullest and that meant seeing as much of the world as he could. He had no plans on settling anywhere soon, no matter how much was offered to him. Neil was a ‘man with a plan’.
His first stop was a well known bookstore that was widely known for its hot guys, comfortable cabins and up to date porn DVD’s. You paid one admittance and like so many sex cinemas throughout the city, you could buy a day pass and cum and go as you please for twenty four hours. Your experiences would take you as far as your legs could carry you.
