Quiet

Quiet affects us all. It is a refuge from the madness of a world we cannot be a part of. It is a grim and overwhelming reminder of an absence we cannot abide. Quiet is woven around us, a haven, a nightmare, something to cherish or to flee.

Sara has wandered through it all, beautiful and confident, serene and happy. Life loved Sara. When she lost her family it gave her a new one. It gave her friends, a business she was meant for and a comfortable life. And when the money ran out it gave her love and a new friend but nothing lasts and quiet consumes us all. As everything crumbles around her only the new friend can save her, the one who risks succumbing to his own fears and plunging headlong into insanity.
