Beyond the Brazos

Ginny McBride, an heiress from Tennessee and a woman named Beth Paterson, an attorney from Virginia, are two personalities sharing one body and in love with the same man. Coming out of amnesia suffered during the Civil War, she recognized who her lover, Matt Jorgensen, was but had no idea as to how to find him. After having established a new life for herself with a new family, she discovers that she has a supernatural gift and knows that Matt is still alive. She is encouraged by her grandmother, who sees the love she still has for Matt, to leave her comfortable style of living and search for him. The couple finds each other in the mountainous area of his childhood in Montana. But twenty years have changed their appearances and, although Beth knows who he is because she found him, he is at lost as to who she is and falls in love her. The conflict is that he had vowed he would never love another since he lost Ginny. When the truth is revealed, other battles threaten to destroy their relationship. Feeling free at last, they travel to the Bar M Ranch in Texas where his one affair in Georgia turns up as a widow and seeks to separate his love for Ginny for herself.
This story is the final episode in the Brazos series of seven novels. The author attempts to keep the readers on the edge of their seats to know which way Matt’s life will turn. A wedding is planned but is threatened by fraudulent means as other evil forces try to take Matt’s life. Matt eventually finds that he and Ginny are inseparable in life due to a spiritual experience they share with one another that keeps them both alive. An intriguing tale of jealousy, hate, lust, revenge and love moves the reader into twists that seem to endlessly keep the reader wondering what will eventually be the final chapter.
