Second novel in the crime series Chasing Shadows but can be read as a stand alone novel. After a spate of murders, DI Mike Watson once again finds himself as lead detective. His friend and colleague DS George Wilson, becomes the victim of a vicious assault and is badly injured and in a coma. When his wife returns from visiting him in hospital, she finds an intruder in her home and then begins a dramatic fight for life, as she tries to fend off the man who attacked her husband and left him for dead. How will it end? As with the last novel there is a twist at the end that only the reader discovers.
