Planet XOPEGZ Contested

Trip Foster and Vera Collard are mysteriously rescued from a Maker Explorations prison (from the book Maker's Revenge). They are surprised to find that they have been transported to a spot not far from their own camp. Their rescuers gave no clue as to who they were. When the Maker team leader, Barthahn, discovers that his prisoners are gone, he tries every means as his disposal to discover how the escape was accomplished. The rescuers, though, have left no clues behind. At the Deriminc camp, Foster and security leader, Preston Waters, come to the conclusion that Maker's current operation is endangered by the fact that Foster has learned of their location. They are sure that the only way Maker can continue their operation would be to attack the Deriminc camp and kill, at least Foster, and maybe the whole team. Then Liz and Wes discover some strange rocks not ever found on Earth. These rocks have some strange electrical properties that will probably be very valuable to certain industries. Liz returns to Earth to take the rocks to to a lab to find out exactly what sort of mineral could have these properties. She disappears, and Vera returns to Earth to find out what happened to her. She discovers that Liz is a prisoner of some faction within the Maker organization. Trip and Vera plan a rescue involving penetration of the Maker plant on Earth. Their entrance into the Maker plant arouses the suspicion of some Maker security guards, who start search for the intruders.
