The strangest thing about Aspirin is that despite its well-documented and cure rates for cancer, stroke, heart attack and Alzheimer’s, why more people are not being put on this penny pill?
The rationale for the title of this presentation “BEYOND PAIN – ASPIRIN” is the author’s well-examined assumption that treating pain with Aspirin and to a lower degree with other NSAIDs (Non Steroid Anti Inflammatory drugs) resolves a number of major health issues ranging from cancer, stroke, heart attacks to memory loss among others. I believe that aspirin, the least expensive and most effective drug, is not a pain pill, per se, but a pharmacy to cater for a number of major and minor ailments, notwithstanding some side effects attributed to it.
The role of ASPIRIN goes “BEYOND PAIN” as has been well documented that patients of migraine, recurrent headaches and other aches and, in particular, arthritis patients who are routinely on aspirin regimen have a lower incidence of heart attack, stroke, cancer and memory impairment - other things being equal. New research has shown that taking aspirin helps prevent cancer and this may have altered the delicate balance in favor of aspirin on benefit/ risk analysis of taking aspirin.
