The Art of Spiritual Warfare

When we are confronted with devastating circumstances in life we are inclined to say that our difficulty is with natural conditions or people that we struggle against flesh and blood. However, according to The Apostle Paul you cannot interpret life sufficiently on that level. You must look beyond the material causes. You must see further, the battle that you are engaged in is not in that realm.

Therefore, if an illness such as melanoma, joint illness, heart problems, or if catastrophe befalls, such as poverty, financial obligations, do not look at the natural causes, the battle is serious, for it is not against external agencies, the fight is within the world of the supernatural. It is a spiritual battle, against powers that inhibit the cosmos.
