Tanglewood Tales: Annotated

A sequel to Hawthorne's "A Wonder-Book for Girls and Boys," this book fun, light-hearted book is inspired by Greek myths. These short stories were re-written for children in 1853 in response to the popularity of his first Wonder-Book. An enjoyable fantastical read, it includes a biography of Nathaniel Hawthorne and a helpful glossary of old English words used frequently by Hawthorne.
