"This 22 year old SGT/USMC was admitted to the Naval hospital in Yokosuka, Japan on 16 November 1970 with the diagnosis of a Linear Skull Fracture and Concussion."
"Evaluation of his past history revealed that the patient was allegedly involved in a jeep accident on 5 November 1970 and rendered unconscious for 9 days.He was taken to the Third Field Hospital where x-rays were taken and showed a diastatic fracture of the saggital and right coronal suture.He was then medically evacuated to the 24th Evacuation Hospital where he was noted to have a vertex encephalopathy and to be lethargic, confused, disorientated and irritable with amnesia but no focal deficit.Skull x-rays were interpreted as showing a left coronal and saggital distastes.Admission laboratory studies were reported as showing a mild Leukocytes.The patient was treated initially with intravenous fluids, maintained NPO and followed the frequent vital signs.He is stated to have been incontinent,irritable,restless,disoriented and confused with nemesis with varying blood pressure and a varying pulse rate.The patient was treated with Penicillin and Streptomyacin from 7 November through 13 November as he was felt to have a traumatic subarctic hemorrhage."
Note: The above is from my military records.I am Allen Francis Foley, poet/author.I am a United States Marine.The narrative conclusion to the above is that I sustained a Diastolic Saggital and Right Corneal Linear Skull Fracture and Cerebral Contusion.Those injuries took the light out of my soul.To make matters worse, I have, caused by the jeep accident in Vietnam, a Traumatic Brain Injury with PTSD which the Department of Defence, Department of Navy, Correctionof Military Records denies.
