Michael Maxwell was one of the very few people psychic Samantha Lopez could not “read.” He was good-looking, charming, and made her feel special, so the fact that she couldn’t tell what he was thinking did not seem to be important. When he proposed within weeks of their meeting, she said yes. Shortly after bringing his bride to his home following a fantasy honeymoon, however, Michael’s personality began to change. He was no longer the considerate man she had married.
Sam found Michael’s house to be cold and stark, lacking any charm or warmth, and her new husband began to exhibit those same qualities. In this dream she was told to travel to the San Francisco Peaks north of Flagstaff, Arizona, where she would find the answers to the questions in her heart, and would find out how to regain her inner peace and harmony.
Sam’s Flagstaff adventure involves a rescued puppy; Jack Blackhorse, a handsome veterinarian who just might be the one to show her what deep, abiding love really is; and Sheriff Virgil White, whose gruff exterior softens toward Sam after they spend time together investigating the death of a friend.
