Lydia Barnes and the Blood Diamond Treasure

Lydia Barnes is not your typical 14-year-old. Sure, she plays her iPod nonstop and rolls her eyes at her dad's dumb jokes--but she also finds herself dodging lion attacks, outwitting rebel warriors, and heading up globe-trotting adventures.

On a trip to Liberia, Africa, with her adventurous father, Frank Barnes, and her quirky tutor Gretchen Hinkle, Lydia finds herself caught up in a treasure hunt with her new best friend Ben. If they can unravel the mystery and solve all of the clues, Lydia and Ben may find the treasure desperately needed by the doctors in this war-torn country.
