OZZY THE POOFLE
Ozzy is a Bulldog-Boxer mix who comes to live with a very quiet, unassuming man named Herb Smith. Herb would never have purchased a dog for himself, he is just not that kind of man. It takes his sister, Mary and her daughter, Lintly to come up with the idea that "Uncle Herb" really would like a dog. And Lintly decided that the 6 year old "pup" is the perfect dog for her uncle.
Another entity decides that Oz is perfect...perfect to inhabit. He is from a far-away planet, possibly bent on the destruction of Earth. That spark inserts itself into Oz and begins to communicate. Ozzy, who is intelligent and savvy, "talks" back and this funny, charming, often sad little tale looks at the moment in time when three very different entities who have had more negative than positive influences in their lives come together to discuss life and other oddities. This novelette combines the joys of youth, the common sense of animals and the isolation of humanity to provide a small window into life, anywhere, anytime.
GREEN LIGHT
Many years in the future, a rather lazy, affluent young man is forced by his father to visit a planet under the family's auspices, as a punishment for acts undone. Daddy is the Superintendent of Maintenance and runs The Board that contains a light for each planet, which glows green, yellow or red for maintenance or other needs.
One planet always displays a green light - and that is an anomaly for the Corporation and the Universe. The son is soon to discover why the light is always green, who inhabits this strange planet and why.
People do make plans, far in advance for the continuation of mankind, regardless of the greed and corruption of individual men and women. Welcome to GREEN LIGHT - you can arrive but you cannot leave, and after you become familiar with the whimsical and independent inhabitants, including the creatures, robots and other life forms, you will find that this is an amusing, but serious book, one with endearing characters, unique circumstances and a surprise ending.
THE INCIDENT
It's way in the future, after the Weather Wars on Earth. Harvey and George were on a standard freight run on the space-freighter Sara, and for some unknown reason, she crashed on an out-of-the-way large asteroid. The landing was hard, but the ship survived and both men thought they would be rescued in a short period of time. But that's not what happened.
Shortly after landing, creatures began taking parts off the ship, but fortunately, never pierced the living areas. Who were these furry creatures and what did they want? George and Harvey would find out soon.
