THE FRESNO TWIST

It's 1938 and a conman asks the age-old question: can he change? That's the question Carl Duryea asked himself as he sat in prison. He had an answer; yes and no. Duryea decided to take up the cause of his cellmate, Johnny Blackham. Blackham was sent to prison for a bank robbery he did not commit. Duryea knew this without any more knowledge than his insight into people. Johnny was a rube from Fresno, California...and maybe out west was the best place to start over. Duryea figured that some of the money from the bank heist was still in the hands of the real culprits. And to start over one needs seed money doesn't one?
