Singers

Friends pack up their spouses and children for a long-awaited vacation weekend in the mountains. The women are all members of the same church choir, who have formed a small group that sings at various community affairs to the delight of the whole community. The men have become friends as they meet each other at the same affairs and watch the children as their wives entertain. When part of the group leaves the cabin to collect firewood, and are late returning, the women at the cabin are at first upset and then all but one become frantic. Their deep beliefs lead them naturally to their favorite hymn, hoping to provide a beacon for the lost to return. It does.
