Ghosts of the Fox River Valley

Most of us have skeletons in our closets. Some also have ghosts. I grew up in a haunted house in Chicago’s suburbs. I’m not the only person who has experienced fidgety spirits. Although some people completely doubt their existence, others remain convinced that spirits of the past walk among us. Believers maintain ghosts assist us in times of need, seek vengeance when they have been wronged, and tend to unfinished issues.

The Fox River flows over 170 miles through Illinois and Wisconsin. Along the charming towns of its historic valley are mysteries we may never fully comprehend. The stories of those who have passed on keep us connected to our heritage along the glorious river. This collection of ghost stories is dedicated to all those who came before us to settle the Fox River Valley—and whose spirits never left it.
