A Long Way From Home: A Trucker's Life Through A Woman's Eye Volume 4

As we go into our third year on the road, we are seeing our lives from a different perspective. What used to be new and a bit scary has become comfortable and occasionally amusing. We know what to expect at Weigh Stations, how to deal with Dispatch, which of our Customers are cooperative, and how to get along in our daily lives.
Once in a while I remember those days of regular routines when my alarm went off at the same time every morning and dinner was on the table at the same hour every night. I drove the same route to work and my desk never moved. My windows showed the same scene no matter the season. I could predict almost every move I would make for weeks or months in advance.
Do I miss it? Sometimes.
Do I want to go back? No way.
