This book was born of blood, the blood of thousands young men and of slaughtered wild animals, whose only crime was to have their habitat in a war zone. The blood of young men in Angola, who butchered each other, doing the bidding of their leaders, each believing their politics were the correct path to follow. The blood of all the women and children who were raped, tortured and killed by the warring factions and lastly the blood of the South African soldiers and my people, who died protecting their border from those who wanted to take over their country. The fact that the country was finally handed over to the black majority with no additional blood shed, stands forever as a monument to the black and white leaders of the day. Into the chaos came a General in the South African army, with a vicious plan to kill terrorists in the bush at night and his Lieutenant with the orders to get it done. Then it all went wrong and the Lieutenant and his men were all on their own, finish it or die trying.
