David Hoppe is well known in the arts community in Indianapolis and was a friend of Kurt Vonnegut. He was principle columnist for NUVO news magazine and this is a collection of his columns which mainly discuss "Solving problems in Indianapolis: Beyond conventional wisdom." He writes about many problems common to urban areas, not just his home town: mass transit, sports focus, trendiness, old neighborhood satisfactions and problems and posturing politicians.
