The Bureau of Myths: A Short Story

Centuries after the Great Conflagration, an unmanned drone of the Regime detects a strange settlement in the southwest corner of the new Western Purchase. Sent out to investigate are two officials from the Bureau of Myths, an agency commissioned to ensure that all myths told in government territories comport with Regime standards. But what the officials find in the settlement is like nothing they’ve ever seen before, and it challenges them to decide whether the story they’ve been told their entire lives is a lie.
