Louis didn’t want to be a useless beggar. He became an honored, loved professor. He didn’t want to remain like a bean in the dark earth. He wanted to grow and be a blessing to others. He found that God could use him to bring light and joy to millions who live in darkness. This quiet, gentle, unselfish “blindy” invented a system of touch reading—now used the world over, wherever blind people are taught to read—and found happiness as he lived to bless others.
