Rescued from the Pit

Elizabeth became a Christian in the midst of all her troubles with her stepfather. After her mental illness developed, she became disappointed in God, not understanding why He had allowed her to experience insanity. During her battle with schizophrenia, Elizabeth prayed for a cure, something or someone to offer her healing. Her prayers were answered a few months later. Now, 49 years later, her healing has continued and her faith has been restored. Since then she has lived her life with a sound mind. Elizabeth now tells her story with the hope of helping others. This is Elizabeth’s story of triumph over insanity.
