The Coward's Courage

One night in a small village a crowd gathers to observe a puppet show. The mysterious Puppeteer is said to be magical in his ability to suspend disbelief. He has promised to stay one more night in their town, one more nighttime performance.

John and Beatrice enter the tavern without hope, seeking resolution for a problem, seeking to make a terrible choice. It is a forced choice, but enough of a choice to be laced with regret for both of them.

A story of villainy, of cowardice, and an unexpected source of courage.
