When I was growing up, I wanted to be funny and make people laugh. This was the focus of my attention in Church Sunday mornings. I watched my dad fall asleep as the Priest droned on and on about the Bible, ignoring the heads bobbing in front of him. I wanted him to make the bible funny and come alive in our lives. Oblivious to Church Law, I decided I would become a funny priest and make people laugh. That never happened but scripture comes alive in my very ordinary life and I am funny. Just ask my children.
