Incident on Cherry Lane

A ten-year-old boy is struck from behind by a speeding auto on a deserted country road as he peddles his bicycle towards town, and is rendered unconscious--but not before memorizing the tag number of the stopped car. An eyewitness calls it "deliberate." Five days later he awakens from a coma, scans the visages hovering over his bed, and identifies the culprit!
