The purpose of this book is to help you improve your teacher interviewing skills. For most beginning teachers, interviewing for a teaching position can be a very frightening, grueling, and competitive process. They are not sure which questions will be asked, what the interviewers will be really looking for, and they may have limited teaching experience to support the answers they will give. It is the intention of this author to eliminate the fear in interviewing by providing you with a training system for improving your teacher interviewing skills. As an experienced interviewer, I believe it is unfair and unnecessary for you to go into a teacher interview without professional training, preparation, and practice.

Improvement in teacher interviewing is accomplished from understanding what I have developed and call Dr. Dexter’s “Nine Steps to Success” framework.

From my experiences, I have learned teachers can vastly improve their interviewing skills. This step-by-step system, that I have created, enables teachers to develop a better understanding of what school administrators are really looking for when they interview teachers.
