Another Simon Bolivar Grimes tale from E. Hoffmann Price. As usual, Simon is having woman trouble and this time he decides to take off and make his fortune from a gold mine. I really didn't like the end of the story, but I suspect Price didn't like where the character was going and decided to make a change.
