A Lifetime in a Few Years

Tick tock. Tick tock. Seconds of our lives go by unnoticed every day. In those seconds, we breathe, we blink, and we feel. These feelings eventually become so repetitive that we ignore them. Yet, somehow, the pages within this book manage to capture those moments and put them into words. The words were woven together to create poems, then the poems to create a book. Each of those neglected seconds has now become a tangible object that can be shared with others.

This book is a collection of a young teenager’s account of what her seconds are. The poems allow you, the reader, to experience the heartbreak, triumph, and other miscellaneous elements of life felt by the writer. By the time you have finished reading, you may even find a whole lifetime has passed.
