Last Days of Tranquility

After being rescued from abandonment and death, Elisabeth White experiences an enviable childhood that is “loving, and tranquil.” All this ends with the event of World War Two coming to her Belgian Homeland. Life abruptly changes to a scene of war, evacuation, and survival.
