Sophia Weddington liked her neatly cut, fitted suits. The skirt swirled at her ankles and the blouse beneath it felt perfect. To her. To others…she was aware it presented a persona not exactly meant for manual labor. But she had a plan…sort of.

She found the address listed in the ad and entered with her head high. Her dark eyes almost crossed at the wild disarray spread through the large open space. The windows were in serious need of a cleansing and the items up for sale…well, she could only hope there was some system to the man’s display.

Patrick ‘Wolfe’ Gallagher knew better. He’d been a ship’s pilot for too long to let himself go. First he drank too much, then he got into a barroom brawl. Staggering along the wharf just south of Seattle, he scowled at the changes to some of the shops. His father’s business was here somewhere…he grew up there…he damn well knew where it was.
