Ansley Martin is smart, single and beautiful. After spending the past several years pursuing her degree and a career, she decides it might be time to live a little. Finally settled into her first job as a physical therapist in Birmingham, Ansley realizes she's spent enough of her time on the serious and is ready to have some fun. On a whirlwind weekend trip to St. Louis she meets the one guy who changes everything...but most of all herself.

As a Navy rescue swimmer, Miguel Santos is living his dream. His career is on track and he's been living life to the fullest...maybe a little too full! Things change, though, during a trip home to St. Louis while Miguel is on leave. Miguel unbelievably meets who could be the girl of his dreams. Their attraction is instant, and leads to a relationship neither one of them see coming. Miguel realizes he's falling for the southern beauty in his life, and no one is more surprised than he is! Unfortunately, their new relationship has several challenges looming in the distance. Miguel is about to be deployed, and for the first time he understands the pain of leaving someone behind he's grown to care about.
