Ghetto Hymns

I struggle like those out here picking cotton.
I say a prayer, bow my head,
and pour out a little liquor,
for those who are gone,
but never forgotten.
I use their strengths to motivate me,
and to help me remain strong.
I wake up every day hoping that,
I still have the will power to go on.
I'll take everything that I have,
including my beliefs,
and put them all out on a limb,
so I extend my hand and invite you in,
to my world of Ghetto Hymns...
