The Cat's Got Her Tongue

Six-year-old Bea has this problem: She feels locked up and tight when she has to talk to strange people. She can’t get any words out. She hates it when people say, “The cat’s got her tongue,” and they keep on saying it. She moves to a farm and has adventures with a snake and a skunk and a storm and much more, including a superstitious grandmother. Nothing solves her problem—till one day she decides with God’s help to be kind to a boy who tries to get her into trouble.
