Snatching Shadows

Five people, scattered across the earth, have known each other’s names throughout their lives. None of them have ever met. None of them have even heard of each other. And yet, for as long as they all can remember, the full names of four total strangers have echoed through the ether of their minds like half-forgotten song lyrics, like a mantra. Sometimes they’ll even repeat the list aloud in their sleep.

For decades this was no great matter. After all unexplained phenomena are just a part of life. But recently the situation has changed. The names have started getting louder in their heads. And with them have come other words. At first it was hard to make these words out. Gradually, though, they’ve come into focus in the form of instructions—leading to a crazy series of events involving hired thugs, kidnapping, body-snatching, unexpected romance, and an ancient paranormal entity that’s been waiting for half a millennium to return to the world. A potentially world-changing secret is about to be unleashed: the question is, who’s going to know—and what are they going to do with that knowledge?
