Light in His Soul

Erastus Miller relishes life on his family’s farm. Along with his parents, his three sisters and their baby brother, he is learning the ways of Georgia farming after his family and several others migrate from the Carolinas in the early 1800s. He enjoys a special bond with his father as he learns the Bible at the nightly family readings. He loves the crops, the animals, his mother’s cooking, the family gatherings, and helping his father craft fine buggies, but after an accident at the age of six, his life is changed forever.

As he and his family are adjusting to the changes they face, their life together takes another dramatic turn. The events of that day will make another indelible mark on their lives that will carry on for generations.

God shows the Miller family, and others, that sometimes the twists and turns in life’s road can reveal a side of Him…and ourselves…that we never expected. His faithfulness shows that life can be grand no matter our circumstances.
