Sam has comfortably forgotten a past of unwanted memories and circumstances until Vicky walks back into his life after several years' absence. All sorts of memories of feelings (not all good) start bubbling up to the surface, and Sam has to reconcile the past, the present, and an ever cloudy future that's not at all what he had been anticipating.
