San Antonio Riverwalk

"San Antonio Riverwalk" is a collection of over 45 photographs taken by artist Marques Vickers showcasing the gorgeous concurrence of waterways intermingled within an urban center. The Riverwalk, also known as Paseo de Rio is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of the downtown district lined by bars, shops and restaurants.

Designed and conceptualized during the 1930s and 40s, the 2.5 mile pedestrian channel was created initially for pragmatic flood control purposes and ultimately became an internationally popular visitors site.

Vickers' photographic series comprise his personal glimpse of territory through an artistic lens. His work has been exhibited and distributed worldwide.
