This is the third of the "Detective Sherlockito" novels. The first two: "Sherlockito and the L.I.E. Mystery and "Pine Village Co-op Murders." In this novel, Mike "Sherlockito" Sanchez comes, once again in contact with his nemesis: Gomer Franklin, who is bent on revenge for Mike's getting the upper hand on him, forcing Gomer to flee the country. His revenge is as diabolical as it is cunning, leaving Mike and partner Steve in the hopeless position of losing their job or possibly spending some time in the hoosegow. With the unpredictable Inspector Boyd, breathing down their necks, the partners have to figure a way out of their dilemma.
Several murders occur along the way, all done in a unique manner to purposely draw attention to the crafty old soldier of fortune. The reason for these murders is also unique, as the reader will find out.
The book contains such unusual events as: a deadly model airplane clash; an equally deadly motorized wheel chair incident; a Navy Seal like commando assault; a strange wild life encounter with Mr. Gaur; and much, much more.
Along with these incidents, several interesting characters will emerge thorough out the book. There is: Mike's wife, Tracy, the amateur sleuth; Steven Boyd, Mike's partner and nephew of the eccentric Inspector Boyd; Clarence Bowen, the conniving, crippled war vet, Trudy, Tracy's greedy cousin, whose greed got her into more trouble than she had bargained for; insurance agent Hartung, who might have been just a little too smart for his own good; Melvin Mead, frustrated air ace and owner of Mel's Model Shop; and the villain of the story: Gomer Franklin, the cold-blooded killing machine, although on in age, manages to perform like a young athlete, due to his magic concoction of African herbs and medicines; to name a few.
There is much action crammed into a few pages, so enjoy the old chief's strange and unique tale.
