The Empire Among Us

Helen, a high school senior in a small town, is plagued by nightmares of a mysterious figure which claims it wishes her dead. Her parents assure her that these dreams are simply nightmares but she senses they are something else entirely. She believes them to be visions of the future. Little does she know these visions will instill themselves within reality much sooner than she ever expected. Before she is ready, she is thrown into a cascade of horror and fear as she learns the shocking truth behind the visions. She finds herself in a world so strange and dark that she hardly recognizes the ground beneath her feet. In this story overflowing with love, passion, hate, horror, and mystery, the reader follows Helen as she grapples through every twist and turn and finds her way through the mysteries and shocking truth of this nightmarish modern Alice in Wonderland.
