Thomas Hobbes of Malmesbury (5 April 1588 – 4 December 1679) is an English philosopher, known because of his works on political philosophy. His book "Leviathan" was the basis for many theories of Western political philosophy. He is one of the founders of the whole political science and political philosophy. Apart from that direction, he contributed to the development of sciences such as geometry, history, theology, the physics of gases, ethics, and general philosophy.
"Behemoth", full title "Behemoth: the history of the causes of the civil wars of England, and of the counsels and artifices by which they were carried on from the year 1640 to the year 1660, also known as The Long Parliament" is a great philosophical work by Thomas Hobbies. This book is the opposite of previous work of the author - Leviathan (1651). Leviathan tells about an ideal world, while Hippo describes the events when officials abuse their rights.
