This book claims to solve the debate between the conditional and unconditional security of the believer, better known as loss of salvation and once saved, always saved. This claim is based on the fact that the earliest Christian writings outside the NT, known as the Apostolic Fathers (writings before A.D. 150), show a unified belief in loss of salvation. The claim is also based on exegetical studies of the passages in the NT that relate to this doctrine. It is shown that Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John all taught that believers must endure to the end to be saved, warning often that apostasy for true believers was indeed possible.
