The American Soldier and other Poems is in three divisions.
Heaven: speaks of spiritual enlightenment. God's grace and blessings to all peoples, and His mercies that is given all, even to those who do not think of God.
The American Soldier: This is a tribute to all those brave men and women who have served, are serving and who will ever serve to preserve the Freedom of this country. This poem was inspired by my son Lt. Col. Steven W. Oliver Air Force; whose service gave me a new perspective of military life. Also my nephew, Pfc. Anthony Ward, he paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Jamaica: Speaks of a beautiful Island, a paradise in the Caribbean sea where the tired and weary have resorted to refresh themselves. It also relates some of my childhood experiences while growing up on the Rock.
I wish one and all a delightful exploration in poetry, verses that speaks from the soul.
