Acts of Courage

If your success in life depends upon harboring a secret, then what do you do when you must either finally confront it, or lose the game of survival? Fourth grader Fen has worked feverishly to conceal his dyslexia, relying on his wit and charm to get through life. Suddenly whisked from his Indiana elementary school to 1778 by a character in his history book, Fen aids and accompanies George Rogers Clark on a seemingly impossible expedition during the Revolutionary War. While learning historical facts, Fen discovers even more about himself, and discovers that maybe his dyslexia is more of a gift than the disability he had always thought.
