Windows 10 Cortana: Tips and Tricks

Microsoft's Windows has a new digital assistant. Cortana is the voice activated virtual assistant designed to offer virtual assistance to Windows' users. Initially introduced as an application for Windows Phone 8.1 mobile device, Cortana has now been promoted; making her debut to desktops with the introduction of Microsoft's new Windows 10 in early 2015. The assistant has received an upgrade and now also bears the responsibility of conducting the search aspect on the Windows 10 Software.

The design for Cortana allows users to now enjoy functionality and convenience. The new assistant can be instructed via voice or text to perform any number of tasks. It will familiarize itself with the personal contents of your device and utilize this data and cloud usage pattern to instantly identify the most ideal information for the user. Among the tasks for which Cortana is skilled at efficiently performing is taking notes, setting alarms, sketching email messages, setting event dates and times as well as notifying users about their upcoming events; the location, directions to get the event and the time of the scheduled event.
