Matters of the Heart

This book reflects events in Charlotte Jenkins' life from childhood, marriage, divorce, and living for the Lord. God started giving me poems in 2001 when I was in need of someone to talk to. Paper and pen do wonders for the soul when it is dry and parched.

These poems are blood, sweat, and tears of her heart, and her intent is to give God all the glory and honor. He is her source, her heart, her love and her friend.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass
A mid-summer rain and a new born baby

Fresh perked coffee
Garlic bread and steaks on the grill

Anything leather and a nice smelling man
A flower garden and an evergreen

Fudge candy and fresh apple pie
Homemade bread and bacon frying

Wind-blown sheets
And the smell of the ocean
