Brewery of Eggshells

Joseph Jacobs was a scholar and historian, mostly known as a collector and publisher of English Folklore. A master of many languages, Jacobs translated Hebrew, Italian and Spanish works, having become one of the most popular 19th-century adapters of children's fairy tales.
"Brewery of Eggshells" is a Welsh tale, entered in the "Celtic Fairy Tales' collection. The legend is about a woman, who once has to leave her twin babies alone for a time. Having returned, she sees two elves in blue petticoats cross her path. The twins look the same, but they didn't grow at all...
