Wisdom's Promise

Eons ago, Loki, the trickster of Asgard felt envy of those praised as more special than he was. He found, and read, a prophecy that said he would reign if Wisdom was not present.
Believing Odin hid it to keep him down, Loki set about making the prophecy come true, following the lines step by step beginning with the removal of Baldur, the God of Wisdom and Judgement, Inspiration and Beauty, from the shining Halls.
In Baldur's absence, Loki does, indeed, reign until the day the Norns tell him his reign will soon end.
Baldur is coming home
