One read of the Koran and something smells fishy in that the book is a total diatribe against anyone who wasn't a "believer" in both Mecca/Medina in the 7th century. Just who were these new believers? What was Mohammed asking them to do or to be? Unfortunately for Islam everything in the Koran seems to point to jihad.
This ebook tries to get to the bottom from the Mecca/Medina periods until the post-Mohammed period when the new caliphs started running the show but without yet a Koran. Their hero? A local legend named Mohammed--who eventually turned into a quasi-god by the 9th-10th century.
