The Holy Bible: a Personal Reflection

The brilliant theologian Norman L Geisler once shared with me five questions that not only fashion the ethics course I currently teach, but most importantly guide my own life. Are we created by God or are we here by chance? Who am I and what am I capable of becoming? Is there any ultimate meaning or purpose to our daily endeavors? Who can tell me how to live this life? Do I have a destiny beyond the grave? Since we are all second-cousins to the shovel, these are profound questions that each of us ought to address continually as we seek lasting happiness.I believe that the Bible provides the surest answers to these questions. In this short meditation on the wisest book ever written, I share with you the thoughts that come into my mind as I quietly ponder the Holy Scriptures and my response to the mysteries of God's will and His invitation to change this world: one heart at a time starting with mine.
