Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (1859 – 1930) was a Scottish author, playwright and physician. He is mostly known for his fictional stories of adventures and investigations of Sherlock Holmes and doctor Watson, a private detective from London and his companion.
The Musgrave Ritual is a short detective story by Arthur Conan Doyle. Reginald Musgrave was Holmes's university acquaintance, and one day he faced a problem that could be solved only by his old familiar. Two of his domestic staff went missing, Rachel Howells, a maid, and Richard Brunton, the butler.
