From Israel's favorite son to despised brother, from hopeless slave to executor of Potiphar's household, from the apple of his master's eye to accused rapist, from the stink of an Egyptian dungeon to the throne room of a great pharaoh, Joseph's life is unsurpassed for tragic drama and stunning deliverance. Yet, for all of the reasons Joseph had to harbor bitter resentment toward those who had wronged him, we are most awed by his capacity to forgive and his earnest desire to restore his repentant brothers into his fellowship.
